Langston Performance Test 2004
CPF Drake was born at Cedar Post Farms on 1/10/04. We purchased him from Rick Wesson along with
Drakes mom & sister on 2/20/04. At that time I knew he was special, he was a tank. So we decided to see what the Preformance
Test at Langston University in Oklahoma was all about. We had no idea what to expect at all. He went down to Langston on the
8th of May at the age of 3months 29days old, he was weighed while we were there and weighed 66.1lbs. The test started after
an adjustment period of 2 weeks with 58 bucks. Drake weighed 85.9lbs at that time he had gained 19.8lbs during the adjustment
period. We went down to Langston on 7/10/04 for the midpoint report and to see how he was doing. At that time
he weighed 123.3lbs and his ADG was .89lbs perday the second highest in the group, only Marvin Shurleys buck had
a better ADG. We were thrilled to see him doing so well. The test was over on the 21st of Aug and after what he had done
at midpoint we were hopeful. He did drop off the last part of the test but we are still so proud of him. The final report
is as such:
On his index score he was 19th in the group with 100.34
On his ADG score he was tied for 5th in the group with .73lbs
The feed efficiency he was 33rd in the group with 7.07
His area of loin eye was 2.39ins
His circumference of hind left leg was 18.50ins
Intake was 435.7lbs
He gained 61.7lbs during the test
All together he gained 81lbs
